The Standard Celeration Chart is arguably the most versatile and least understood measurement tool used in behavior analysis. Behavior analysts who understand how to interact with the chart are at a significant advantage over colleagues relying on non-standardized measures. The purpose of this two-part series is to introduce and familiarize you with the basic conventions used when interacting with the Chart.
Access to this lesson is free. After successful completion (see criteria below) eligible certificants may purchase CEUs by clicking the button below.
Note: This lesson is for Part 2 in our series on the Standard Celeration Chart. It is highly recommended that you complete "Understanding the Celeration Chart (Part 1)" before you begin this lesson.
Learning Objectives
By the time you finish this lesson you should be able to:
- Measure the quality of behavior using accuracy ratios.
- Calculate celeration values, frequency multipliers, and celeration multipliers.
- Verbally describe the effects of change procedures on data sets.
- Use celeration and frequency envelope projections to predict future behavior.
- Quantitatively measure the variability of a data set.
Before You Begin
Depending on the speed of your internet access, it may take the lesson anywhere from 1 minute to 5 minutes to completely load. While you are waiting for the lesson to load, make sure you look over the lesson description. If you don't have copies of the chart on hand, you can print facisimiles of the chart to use for educational purposes only. If you plan to use the chart in your work you will need to order official copies from the Behavior Research Company.

Using the menu on the left to jump to different sections should not be used if you are trying to listen to the lecture for CEUs as you will jump over questions and they will be marked incorrect.
